China Petroleum and Chemical Corp. (Sinopec), which recently signed supply deals with US liquefaction plant developer Venture Global, has put a second jetty into operation at the Tianjin North onshore LNG import terminal guaranteeing supplies to the Chinese capital Beijing.
China Petroleum and Chemical Corp. (Sinopec) said it had completed the development of the first phase of the new Weirong shale-gas field in the southwest Sichuan province with an annual production capacity of 1 billion cubic metres of natural gas.
Chinese energy major Sinopec, whose LNG assets include a stake in the Australia-Pacific LNG plant in the state of Queensland, said it started trial operations at its small-scale LNG production plant at Fuling in southwest China.
