Nov 7 (LNGJ) - China said night temperatures dropped below zero degrees Celsius in Beijing and snow fell in other cities, signalling an early start to the official winter season. “The Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Management said that the heating supply would ensure the indoor temperature in centralized heating areas meets 18 degrees Celsius by the morning of November 7, which is much earlier than the usual start date for the winter heating season,” said the official Xinhua news agency.

   It also reported that Chinese natural gas imports by pipeline and as LNG increased by 9 percent in the 10 months from January to October while in October alone the natural gas imports were a combined 8.78 million tonnes. The data showed that crude oil shipments to China last month amounted to 48.97 million tonnes, or 11.53 million barrels per day, versus 11.13 million barrels per day in the previous month of September.
