Grupo HAM of Spain, the European Union liquefied natural gas filling station network owner, has completed a project to bring the South American nation of Chile its first LNG fuel station after previously opening a facility in Peru.

LNG importer Argentina will advance its plans to halt shipments within a couple of years as it expects development of its own resources in the Vaca Muerta shale-gas region will lead to the restart of pipeline gas exports to Chile as early as October.
