Dominion Energy, the US company that started the Cove Point LNG export plant in Maryland and now focused on renewables, has closed the sale for around US$6.6 billion of the Ohio natural gas utility, East Ohio Gas Co, to Canadian pipelines and energy company Enbridge Inc.
Jan 18 (LNGJ) - The Singapore-flagged “BW Pavilion Aranda” with 173,400 cubic metres of capacity was discharging a cargo on January 18 at the UK Isle of Grain LNG import terminal. The facility is located on the Medway River southeast of London and is operated by National Grid plc. The cargo was lifted on January 6 from the US Cove Point export plant at Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

Dec 23 (LNGJ) - Dominion Energy of the US said it completed the sale for $2.1 billion of a 25 percent non-controlling stake in Cove Point LNG in Maryland to Brookfield Super-Core Infrastructure Partners, a fund managed by Brookfield Asset Management Inc. of Canada.
Dominion’s Cove Point LNG unit owns the liquefaction plant and storage facilities located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay as well as a 136-mile pipeline that interconnects the facility with the inter-state pipeline system.
