Commonwealth LNG, the US proposed LNG export plant for the west side of the Calcasieu Ship Channel near Johnson Bayou in Louisiana Cameron Parish has been the subject of a notice of intention from the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission FERC to prepare an environmental impact statement.

Project developer LNG Ltd has formally extended its final turn-key engineering and construction contract for the US Magnolia LNG export venture in Louisiana by six months as it seeks to finalize capacity agreements with customers after one accord was recently signed with an import project on the East Coast of India.
