Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) final order for Commonwealth LNG is affirming the authorisation of its 9.5 mpta LNG export terminal to be built along Calcasieu Ship Channel near Cameron, Louisiana. With FERC’s final order in place the $11 billion project can now go ahead.

The US was taking hurricane protection measures for July 7 and July 8 as the first major storm of the season, Hurricane Beryl, blew past Jamaica and Mexico and entered the Gulf of Mexico as a severe Tropical Storm headed for Texas and Louisiana, the centres of oil and gas and LNG and feed-gas supplies.

Dec 19 (LNGJ) - The 174,100 cubic metres carrier “Vivit Americas LNG” is scheduled to deliver a US cargo on December 23 to the UK South Hook terminal at the Port of Milord Haven, according to shipping data. The cargo was lifted on December 9 from the Calcasieu Pass export plant near Lake Charles in Louisiana.

Venture Global LNG has confirmed the closing of the project financing for its Calcasieu Pass LNG facility and associated TransCameron pipeline in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

CB&I, the US energy engineering company, was awarded a contract valued at nearly $200 million by Venture Global LNG, a US-based project developer based in Washington DC, to construct two LNG storage tanks for the company's proposed Calcasieu Pass export facility in southwest Louisiana.

Project developer LNG Ltd has formally extended its final turn-key engineering and construction contract for the US Magnolia LNG export venture in Louisiana by six months as it seeks to finalize capacity agreements with customers after one accord was recently signed with an import project on the East Coast of India.
