Gasconsult, the UK-based supplier of a proprietary and patented methane cycle liquefaction technology, has awarded a contract to US LNG and energy engineers CB&I for development of its ZR-LNG liquefaction process.

Sept 29 (LNGJ) - Tlou Energy Ltd, the company listed in the UK and Australia and focused on delivering power to Botswana and Southern Africa through the development of coal-seam gas projects, has received approval for its Lesedi Project following a public review. “It is good news for the company, for the Lesedi project and for the people of Botswana,” said Tlou Executive Director Gabaake Gabaake, whose company will fuel a 50 megawatts plant with CSG. “Environmentally there is a need in Botswana for the development of a relatively clean, low carbon energy source to replace the use of diesel in the production of electricity,” he added.

April 21 (LNGJ) - An energy company listed on the London Stock Exchange Alternative Investment Market said it was carrying out a natural gas testing programme on wells it is developing to achieve the first flowing commercial rates of gas in the southern African nation of Botswana. The company, Tlou Energy Ltd., said its focus remained delivering power from gas in Botswana and southern Africa through the development of coal bed methane projects. The Botswana testing has just been expanded to include three wells rather than the initial one well.
