Feb 28 (LNGJ) - The 145,700 cubic metres capacity “LNG Benue” is unloading a cargo on February 28 at the Indian Dahej import terminal, operated by Petronet, from the Bonny Island plant in Nigeria, according to shipping data. The 147,200 cubic metres capacity “Arctic Lady” is schedule to deliver a cargo on March 6 to the Fos Cavaou import terminal near Marseilles in the south of France from the Hammerfest export plant in northern Norway, operated by Statoil.
March 14 (LNGJ) - Wartsila, the propulsion maker for LNG carriers and other tankers and vessels, has signed a five-year maintenance agreement with the Nigerian gas transportation company Bonny Gas Transport (BGT), a subsidiary of Nigeria LNG. Wartsila will monitor and service the engines on board BGT's six new LNG carriers and deliver spare parts, as well as expertise for inspections and major service overhauls. “The contract marks the beginning of a new era of cooperation between Wartsila and BGT, and is the first of its kind for Wartsila in Africa,” said the engine company based in Finland.
