European natural gas prices crash as North Asia LNG values briefly regain the limelight at least for February
The Japan-Korea Marker price for spot LNG cargoes for Japan, China and South Korea moved back to the trading limelight for the February 2023 trading window as the European Union benchmark gas price crashed from record highs amid less severe Continental weather, though withdrawals from EU gas storage increased.
Italy's Eni and Damietta LNG partners close amicable settlement and Egyptian cargoes now flowing
Italian energy company Eni said the final agreement has been finalized that settled the dispute over operations at the Egyptian Damietta LNG export plant near Alexandria and the facility has been ramped up and cargoes are flowing.
Qatar-Vitol LNG deal
Feb 22 (LNGJ) - Qatar Petroleum signed a long-term Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with global commodities company Vitol for the supply of 1.25 million tonnes per annum of LNG for delivery to Bangladesh. The shipments will begin later in 2021. “We are pleased to sign this SPA with Vitol, and we look forward to commencing deliveries to further contribute to meeting Bangladesh's energy requirements,” said Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, President and Chief Executive of Qatar Petroleum. “We are proud to continue to be the supplier of choice for our customers and partners around the globe,” added Al-Kaabi.
