Indian liquefied natural gas imports surged for another month by just over 12 percent and by more than 14 percent for the fiscal year so far, helped by lower prices and higher demand and despite more competition from increased output from Bay of Bengal domestic gas resources.
BP of the UK and Italian energy company Eni have signed an exploration and production sharing agreement with the Sultanate of Oman for a block in the centre of the country amid a revived domestic natural gas sector, rising liquefied natural gas exports and plans for a small-scale LNG plant for maritime fuel.
