Santos, the Australian stakeholder in three Asia-Pacific LNG export ventures, issued a solid first-quarter earnings report, including an update on the US$10.4-billion takeover bid from Harbour Energy, a subsidiary of US equity firm EIG Global Energy Partners.

Origin Energy, a stakeholder in the Australia Pacific LNG plant in Queensland, and Gladstone LNG operator Santos, said they had both heeded calls to help Australian industry in the supply of gas and have signed a joint deal with a major Sydney company.
