Major oil and gas companies operating in Papua New Guinea have signed a preliminary agreement with the Oceania nation, currently hosting Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings in Port Moresby, that opens the way for expansion of LNG production.
Oil Search, one of the main stakeholders in the Papua New Guinea LNG plant, said the finalization of the expansion plan is expected to be announced at this week’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in Port Moresby.
