Greek shipping company Arista and its partners are planning to place an order in China for 20 bulk carriers to be powered by LNG as part of a joint development programme also involving companies such as Royal Dutch Shell and the American Bureau of Shipping.
Arista Shipping of Greece and its partners in a joint venture to develop more liquefied natural gas-powered vessels said the Greek-based project would also work with Royal Dutch Shell to investigate potential fuel supply options and requirements.
The American Bureau of Shipping has joined forces with Greece’s Arista Shipping, two companies from Finland and French storage tank technology firm GTT in a joint development project for a dry bulk carrier concept that uses liquefied natural gas as fuel.
