LNG bunkering for ARA

Sept 21 (LNGJ) - Titan LNG, a supplier to the marine and industrial markets, has developed a pontoon system for the delivery of LNG to river barges and sea-going ships in the ports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp, known as the ARA and which is Europe’s largest bunkering hub. Titan’s LNG bunkering pontoon is called the Titan LNG Flex-Fueler. It will mostly help fuel inland waterway vessels from a fixed location. “Currently truck-to-ship delivery provides the most flexibility and is the only means of receiving LNG bunkers in the ARA region,” said Niels den Nijs, Commercial Director of Titan LNG. “However, there is an increase in larger LNG-fuelled vessels coming into the market, which cannot bunker at land-based LNG stations,” den Nijs added.
