NextDecade LNG post

NextDecade Corp., the developer of the Rio Grande and Galveston Bay LNG export projects in Texas, said its board had elected Matthew W. Bonanno, a non-executive director, to act as interim Chairman following the recent untimely death of Chairman Kathleen M. Eisbrenner. The board expects to appoint a permanent Chairman by NextDecade’s annual meeting of stockholders in July 2019. “Kathleen will be missed by all of us on the board,” said Bonanno.

Zhejiang terminals

Zhejiang Energy, a state-owned company in the eastern Zhejiang province, has signed a cooperation agreement with power and gas company Shenzhen Energy to jointly develop an LNG import terminal on the province’s Liuheng Island. This is Zhejiang Energy’s second terminal project and its first phase would provide 3 million tonnes per annum of capacity and would double in a second phase. The Liuheng Island terminal would include a jetty capable of handling the largest carriers from Qatar with capacity of 266,000 cubic metres and three storage tanks, each of 200,000 cubic metres capacity.

Inpex LNG forecasts

Inpex said that its net sales for the year ending December 2019 are expected to increase mainly due to Australian LNG output. “A steady production ramp-up at the Ichthys LNG project and the commencement of production at the Prelude FLNG project will be offset by an expected drop in crude oil prices,” said Inpex.
