Woodside’s pipeline deal
Woodside, the Western Australian LNG plant operator, said it signed a long-term gas sale and purchase agreement with the Worsley Alumina joint venture for the supply of pipeline gas. Woodside said the natural gas will be supplied to the joint venture from Woodside’s portfolio of domestic gas facilities, including the North West Shelf, Pluto and Wheatstone plants from where LNG is also exported. The Worsley Alumina bauxite mine and alumina plant is located in the southwest corner of Western Australia.
Russian LNG east route
Novatek, the Russian natural gas company and LNG plant operator, said that the ice-class LNG carrier “Vladimir Rusanov” completed the Northern Sea Route passage in the Eastern direction and delivered a cargo from the company’s Yamal LNG plant in the port of Sabetta in Siberia to the port of Tianjin in northeast China. “The 172,000 cubic metres capacity 'Vladimir Rusanov' transited the ice-covered part of the route in only six days, setting a new record for independent passage via the NSR without ice-breaking support with cargo on board,” said Novatek.

The Italian firm said in a statement that the China-built vessel was launched during the night of the 20th of July.
