Banking crisis lifts the bar for LNG finance, delays FIDs

Shaken by the banking crisis, investors are getting more demanding when it comes to LNG project finance: almost fully contracted liquefaction capacity is required, equity levels higher than 30 percent and faster debt repayment. Still, two projects obtained almost $15 billion in loans – just days after the Silicon Valley Bank collapsed. Our Markets Editor Anja Karl has more.
