GE Vernova has announced the commercial start-up of Vietnam’s first 9HA-turbine driven combined-cycle power plant, Nhon Trach 3&4. Operated by PV Power, these two plants are Vietnam’s first LNG-fuelled unit, helping to accelerate the coal-to-gas transition of the power sector.

B&V and Baker Hughes enter collaboration on standard LNG tech
Black & Veatch (B&V) will use Baker Hughes’ LM9000 gas turbine and compression technology as part of a standard module capable to produce up to 2 mtpa of LNG. The intention is to utilize PRICO technology to produce up to 2 mtpa of LNG per train.
