Flex LNG, the Norwegian shipping company with a fleet of 13 vessels and several chartered to the largest exporters, posted solid net income and increased vessel operating revenues with all ships available after previous dry-dockings.

Global liquefied natural gas prices rebounded this week led by European Union prices that reversed a 10-week slide with a double-digit increase as Asian spot cargo values also rose with shipping rates and against the background of a record EU gas storage build.

July 29 (LNG) - Shipping spot charter rates for LNG carriers were unchanged for a second week. Rates in the West of Suez market were quoted at between $67,000 per day and $63,000 per day for vessels of 155,000-165,000 cubic metres capacity.

   East of Suez spot charter rates were between $55,000 per day and $51,000 per day, according to London brokers. One-year charter rates for the most modern vessels were quoted at around $93,000 per day.

July 8 (LNGJ) - Shipping spot charter rates for LNG carriers dropped by around $7,000 per day in the past week in the West of Suez market to be between $75,000 per day and $71,000 per day for vessels of 155,000-165,000 cubic metres capacity.

   For vessels East of Suez spot charter levels were also lower on the week to be at between $57,000 per day and $53,000 per day, according to London brokers. One-year charter rates for the most modern vessels increased by $5,000 per day to around $90,000 per day.

Feb 25 (LNGJ) - Shipping charter rates for LNG carriers in the spot market settled at lower levels again in the past week and were quoted at an average of between $43,000 per day and $39,000 per day for vessels of between 155,000-165,000 cubic capacity in the West of Suez market. In the East of Suez charter market, rates were offered for ships at between $41,000 per day and $37,000 per day, according to various brokers. One-year time charters for the most modern vessels were available for around $48,000 per day.

Feb 18 (LNGJ) - Shipping charter rates for LNG carriers in the spot market have plunged again this week by over $10,000 dollars per day. Rates were quoted at an average of between $56,000 per day and $52,000 per day for vessels of between 155,000-165,000 cubic capacity in the West of Suez market. In the East of Suez charter market, rates were offered for ships at between $52,000 per day and $48,000 per day, according to various brokers. One-year time charters for the most modern vessels were available for around $48,000 per day.

Jan 22 (LNGJ) - Shipping charter rates for LNG carriers in the spot market have dropped in the past week by around $20,000 dollars per day. Rates were quoted at an average of between $148,000 per day and $152,0000 per day West of Suez. Spot rates of $138,000 to 142,000 were heard for the East of Suez charter market for vessels of between 155,000-165,000 cubic metres capacity, according to various brokers. One-year time charters for the most modern vessels and ships were available for around $49,000 per day.

Nov 5 (LNGJ) - Shipping charter rates for LNG carriers in the spot market slipped in the past week by up to $7,500 per day. Rates were quoted at an average of between $97,000 per day and $102,000 per day West of Suez. The same levels of spot rates were also talked about for the East of Suez charter market for vessels of between 155,000-165,000 cubic metres capacity, according to various brokers.

Sept 24 (LNGJ) - Shipping charter rates for LNG carriers in the spot market increased over the past week by around $7,000 per day. Rates were quoted at an average of between $59,000 per day and $61,000 per day West of Suez and at rates of between $56,5000 per day and $58,500 per day East of Suez for vessels of between 155,000-165,000 cubic metres capacity, according to various brokers. One-year time charter rates were little changed for the most modern vessels and were seen at around $47,000 per day.
