Jan 4 (LNGJ) - UK natural gas prices have declined from record levels, though are still substantial compared with previous years at around $23.00 per million British thermal units and are attracting US shipments. A cargo is scheduled to arrive on January 11 at the UK South Hook terminal at Milford Haven on board the 160,000 cubic metres capacity carrier “Cool Voyager”. The vessel lifted the cargo on December 24 at the Freeport plant on Quintana Island in Texas.

Natural gas wholesale futures prices in Europe broke records as they approached $60 per million British thermal units in the wholesale power market and reflected soaring spot LNG cargo values and pipeline gas prices caused by concerns over shortages and power cuts.

Oct 14 (LNGJ) - The 210,100 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex LNG carrier, the “Duhail”. is scheduled to deliver a cargo on October 21 to the UK South Hook import terminal at Milford Haven in Wales from the Ras Laffan plant in Qatar. The shipment will be arriving in the UK after the National Balancing Point (NBP) benchmark natural gas price rebounded this week, though was still down from record levels reached on October 6.

The advance of North Sea Brent crude prices to above two-year highs continued this month’s hydrocarbon sector revival and with 2021 highs also being set for European LNG values and the North Asia spot LNG price jumping to over $12 as more cargoes were being lifted worldwide.

Demand for liquefied natural gas cargoes was at a firm seasonal level as liftings increased and prices rose again for spot shipments to North Asia, while European gas market benchmarks were around $7.50 per million British thermal units.

Cargo liftings at global liquefaction plants stayed over the 100 level as North Asia spot prices increased along with US Gulf Coast futures, while pipeline and LNG supplies to the UK natural gas market jumped and available wind power plummeted.

Oct 27 (LNGJ) - The 210,100 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex carrier “Al Ghariya” will deliver the first November Qatargas cargo to the UK on November 3. This shipment will be discharged at the South Hook import terminal at Milford Haven in Wales, according to port authorities. That's as the UK National Balancing Point natural gas price declined from a seasonal high to the equivalent of $5.50 per million British thermal units, while the main Continental European price, the Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF), was at the equivalent of $5.15 per MMBtu.

Around 102 LNG shipments were being lifted this week versus 91 last week at global liquefaction plants as the US saw 14 cargoes departing from its facilities and the North Asia spot LNG price moved above the $6.87 mark, while US and European natural gas benchmarks hit $2.98 per MMBtu and $5.65 per MMBtu respectively.

The US exported 14 liquefied natural gas shipments for a second straight week amid Gulf of Mexico restrictions because of a hurricane warning, while Asian and European LNG values increased for the Northern Hemisphere winter cargo market.
