Demand for liquefied natural gas cargoes was at a firm seasonal level as liftings increased and prices rose again for spot shipments to North Asia, while European gas market benchmarks were around $7.50 per million British thermal units.
Production plants for liquefied natural gas are loading fewer cargoes this week as North Asia spot prices are well down on recent record levels, though shipments from March onwards are at higher prices than a week ago.
Exports from global liquefied natural gas plants fell to their lowest of the peak winter season with 91 weekly cargo liftings reported as prices remained robust for February North Asian spot shipments amid the continued oil market recovery.
