LNG cargo liftings increased worldwide for a fourth straight week and North Asia spot LNG prices were firm with January at $7.500 per million British thermal units as US LNG exports broke a monthly record and the North Sea Brent crude oil price hit its highest level since March.

US natural gas production rose to an average of 86.9 billion cubic feet per day in October and despite low storage levels, the government expects strong growth in US gas output to put downward pressure on prices in 2019.
