Qatar Petroleum said it had started a development drilling campaign for the North Field project that will underpin the feed-gas needs for the LNG expansion at Ras Laffan from 77 million tonnes per annum to 110 MTPA.

Royal Dutch Shell said its first-quarter LNG sales volumes were 12.29 million tonnes, putting the company on track for around 48MT of LNG sales for the whole of 2016 that will demonstrate its more dominant position in the market after the take-over of BG Group of the UK.
