The US Cameron LNG project on the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Louisiana has been granted permission by US regulators to start commissioning procedures for the third liquefaction Train.

Sempra Energy, the California utility and owner of three North American LNG export projects, said it signed an agreement to supply Saudi Arabian energy company Saudi Aramco with LNG from its proposed Port Arthur plant in Texas as well as equity investment in the venture.

The delayed US Cameron LNG export project led by Sempra Energy has been boosted by the long-awaited introduction of feed-gas to the first liquefaction Train by engineers McDermott and Chiyoda Corp. of Japan.
