Venture Global has shown the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that it is making steady progress with its Calcasieu Pass LNG export plant in Louisiana, expected to come on stream in 2022 along with the TransCameron Pipeline.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has issued a letter to US LNG project developer Venture Global giving permission to proceed with initial mobilization and limited site preparation for the Plaquemines LNG project on the banks of the Mississippi River, about 30 miles south of New Orleans.
US pipeline company Kinder Morgan has asked regulators for permits to construct a new pipeline section and compression infrastructure for its Tennessee Gas Pipeline to allow feed-gas to flow to the proposed Plaquemines LNG export project in Louisiana.
