Daewoo Engineering and Construction of South Korea has signed an agreement to build natural gas-fired power plants in Libya as the North African nation and former LNG exporter starts to rebuild its natural gas industry infrastructure.

The second foreign trip of the premiership of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has taken place to Libya and has resulted in a major natural gas deal with the Libyans who were former LNG exporters from a plant destroyed during years of conflict.
