Crowley Maritime Corp. has taken delivery of the first of two container and roll-on-roll-off ships powered by liquefied natural gas from US shipbuilder VT Halter Marine of Pascagoula in Mississippi.

US shipping and logistics company Crowley Maritime Corp. said its liquefied natural gas subsidiary successfully completed the first loading of a commercial ISO container shipment from the new Maxville facility in Jacksonville in Florida.

Eagle LNG Partners has filed an application to export liquefied natural gas from a second production and storage facility currently under construction at a site in West Jacksonville in Florida.
