Fluxys Belgium, the gas transmission and Zeebrugge liquefied natural gas import terminal operator, posted increased first-half net profits as ship traffic remained strong and truck-trailer LNG loadings almost doubled.

Fluxys Belgium, the operator of the national gas grid and the LNG terminal at Zeebrugge, reported increases in annual revenues and net profits as LNG shipping and truck-loading activities rose to record levels even amid the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Avenir LNG, a company owned by Norwegian shipping and infrastructure companies, is making progress on the development of Italy’s first small-scale terminal at the Port of Oristano on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia.
