The United States has been exporting more liquefied natural gas than any other country and LNG shipments were expected to surge through the next 12 months while deliveries were also increasing of pipeline natural gas to both Mexico and Canada.
Cheniere Energy, the owner of the Sabine Pass liquefaction and export plant in Louisiana and the Corpus Christi facility in Texas, has signed its third long-term liquefied natural gas sale and purchase agreement in a month with that latest signatory being the Singapore-based trading arm of China’s ENN Natural Gas Group, an existing customer.
Cheniere Energy has requested more time from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to build and bring into commercial service the planned expansion project at the Corpus Christi LNG export plant on the Gulf Coast of Texas.
Cheniere Energy, the largest US liquefied natural gas exporter with plants in Louisiana and Texas, has signed a binding LNG sale and purchase agreement with China’s Sinochem Group, the state-owned producer of fertiliser products and agrochemicals.
