Santos, the Asia-Pacific LNG plant operator and Western Australia’s biggest domestic natural gas supplier, has renewed a gas supply agreements with Yara Pilbara Fertilisers to supply the Yara liquid ammonia plant on the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia.

Western Australian LNG operator Woodside has completed a review of the reserves and resource estimates for the Greater Pluto region, including the Pluto and Xena fields, showing the levels of future feed gas to supply the Pluto LNG export plant on the Burrup Peninsula.

Woodside Petroleum, the operator of two liquefied natural gas export plants, said it had agreed a project to install more than 210,000 solar panels on the Burrup Peninsula of Western Australia for environmental reasons and to help supply 50 megawatts of electricity for the Pluto LNG facility.

Woodside Petroleum, the operator of two LNG plants in Western Australia, said construction of the Pluto-Karratha Gas Plant Interconnector, the first step in realising Woodside’s vision for a regional LNG hub on the Burrup Peninsula, is now progressing with a completion date set for 2022.

Woodside, the operator of two Australian liquefaction plants and with a stake in Kitimat LNG project in Canada, said its LNG processing hub on the Burrup Peninsula of Western Australia was taking shape as the Perth-based company recorded lacklustre earnings hit by low prices and operational issues.

Australian LNG producer Woodside is advancing with its boosted seven-Train integrated LNG and gas hub in Western Australia and with overseas projects, including its offshore Myanmar gas venture to supply Rangoon and Thailand.
