TC Energy Corp, one of the largest North American pipeline companies, said the Canadian federal government approved the expansion of the Nova Gas Transmission Ltd (NGTL) system moving the huge natural gas resources from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin to markets.
Canadian pipeline company TC Energy Corp. said its subsidiary Nova Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL), has executed a letter of intent with Calgary-based Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Inc. and TransAlta Corp. to pay C$255 million (US$185M) to acquire the Pioneer Pipeline.
Pembina Pipeline Corp., the Canadian owner of the Jordan Cove LNG export project in the US northwest state of Oregon, said it would be developing additional pipeline and terminal infrastructure in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia while pursuing the US liquefaction venture.
