Exxon Mobil Corp., the leading global oil and gas company and LNG market operator, posted a record $56 billion net profit for 2022 and fourth-quarter earnings of $12.8Bln amid Russian expropriations while it is also being forced to sue the European Union over  $1.3Bln of “unfavorable items” associated with additional taxes on the US shareholder-owned company.

Italian energy company Eni said the “Coral-Sul FLNG” production vessel offshore Mozambique has started receiving hydrocarbons from the Rovuma Basin ahead of using liquefaction capacity for annual output of 3.4 million tonne per annum.

Indian state company Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC), whose overseas arm holds a stake in the TotalEnergies-led Mozambique LNG export project, plans to raise by four-fold its domestic exploration and production acreage to find more natural gas and oil in India and cut the bill for imports.

German technology has been chosen for the first floating liquefaction and export plants being developed offshore Senegal and Mauritania in West Africa by BP of the UK and Dallas-based Kosmos Energy.
