Rotterdam’s Dutch Gate LNG receiving terminal, owned jointly by Gasunie and Vopak, will close in June for maintenance.
This will be the site’s first major maintenance period since the start of operations almost 10 years ago.
In its quarterly results presentation, Vopak said that following 10 years of continuous, safe and successful LNG operations, Gate terminal in Rotterdam will start its major maintenance turnaround to ensure the best in class service for its customers.
The maintenance work will last for about a month starting 15th June, Vopak added.
Elsewhere, Norwegian energy giant, Equinor has revised its estimated restart date for its Arctic LNG plant at Hammerfest to 31st March next year.
This is to allow more time for repairs after a fire badly damaged the export terminal last year, the company said.
Equinor had previously scheduled a restart for 1st October this year.
