Despite its relatively small volume, last week's signing of an independent LNG supply deal between BP and ENN is a rare bright spot for LNG demand growth in Northeast Asia. It also comes at a time when the country's 14th Five-Year-Plan is due and thereby prompts important questions on China's future energy portfolio.
