Indonesia Shadows Malaysia with lower LNG Exports - But for Different Reasons

Like Malaysia, Indonesia has had to contend with decreasing LNG shipments but more due to falling domestic demand as the economy struggles with COVID-19 than reduced offtakes in Northeast Asia, our data indicates. Meanwhile, elusive long-term feedgas supply growth with new gas production facing delays carries greater risk to the country’s long-term LNG prospects, we believe.
