LNG importer France sees benefits in overhaul of gas trading system Featured

French natural gas network operator GRTgaz said there was a 5 percent drop in natural gas consumption over the past year because of higher temperatures and lower demand from gas-fired power plants for supplies provided by LNG imports and pipeline gas from Russia and Norway.

GRTgaz also said the new French natural gas trading area, known as Trading Region France (TRF), launched in the run-up to 2019 is already having positive results.
