Western Australian takeover by Santos passed by regulator citing LNG feed-gas demand

Australian energy company Santos, operator of the Gladstone LNG plant in Queensland, has received competition clearance from regulators for its US$2.15 billion takeover of Quadrant Energy whose operations are centred on Western Australia.
