LNG project withdraws Merrill’s first rights for LNG

The owners of the Liquid Niugini Gas LNG project in Papua New Guinea have decided that Merrill Lynch, the US investment bank, no longer has first rights to any LNG produced by the project because of “the current unrest in the financial industry.”
