Asian LNG demand falls off a cliff as China delays restocking

Asian LNG demand could decline 3-10% this year from 2025-levels, with buyers turning to coal and nuclear. China’s LNG demand alone is forecast to fall by more than 6 mtpa year-on-year as buyers react to soaring spot prices and delay restocking, Rystad Energy finds.
