Guangdong province to step up gas use by 65% through 2025

Industrial coal-to-gas switching and construction of new gas-fired power stations will increase the overall gas use of China’s Guangdong province by over 65 percent in the next five years. The provincial regulator forecasts Guangdong’s gas consumption to rise from 29 Bcm in 2020 to 48 Bcm by 2025, most of which sourced via a new LNG receiving terminal.
