Slump in China’s LNG imports offset by pipeline gas from Central Asia

China’s LNG imports tumbled by 33.4 percent in April to their total monthly low in over two years at 4.34 million tons, according to customs data, but the slump in LNG shipments was offset by rising pipeline gas imports from Central Asian states as well as from Russia.
